I arrived back in London last night after a fantastic trip but a truly miserable 24 hours flying! The immigration queue took well over an hour an a half in BA and I very nearly missed my flight, it was crazy, the officals refused to fast-track passenegrs even if their flights were about to take off! It's strange being back in London after nearly a month backpacking and like a complete idiot I waked out of Heathrow in shorts and flipflops! It's bloody freezing! What a great 3 1/2 weeks in South America, we had an amazing time and it was great training for the MDS, a massive thank you to Holly for being such a great travelling buddy! As sad as it is to be home, it's really dawned on me how much training and fundraising I still need to do over the next 3 months! I am putting togther a schedule for both this evening and I will continue to share my progress on this blog. I am in the process of trying to organise a fundraising pub quiz as well as a trip up to Leeds to raise money at the universty. I am off to the gym this evening before running home and want to get my mileage up this week. I'm planning on running from London Bridge to Guildford on Saturday which is a good 30 odd miles. I am also thinking about doing a training day with Rory Coleman, an MDS veteran who has run the event 8 times - I'm sure he'll have some useful tips! You can also now follow me on Twitter @SaharaRun2012, I will keep this regurarily updated so if you're interested in my progress then please 'follow' me!
